Luck has ran out on a notorious kidnapper after he was caught while trying to collect N300k, after receiving an initial N1.3m ransom.
One of the gunmen who kidnapped two entertainers, Ugo Stevenson and Izunna Obiakor, in Owerri, Imo State, has been arrested while trying to collect another N300,000, after he had collected an initial N1.3m ransom, according to reports.

The kidnapper had abducted two entertainers but was caught while trying to collect extra ransom money

It was gathered that the two entertainers were riding home in the same vehicle, last week Wednesday, when some gunmen waylaid them in the World Bank area of Owerri and abducted them.

Stevenson, who said they were freed on Sunday, explained that their abductors blindfolded them and dropped them off in the Okuku area of the state, but Izunna’s Toyota Highlander was not released.

Sunday Okorie, one of the kidnappers, however, met his waterloo, after he reached out to them to pay N300,000 for the collection of the car.

The duo accepted the offer and a meeting was scheduled – the kidnapper not knowing that they had already contacted security operatives. It was while he was waiting for the men to bring the money that SARS operatives swooped in and arrested him.
