Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has stated that Captain, Micheal Carrick will start the club’s last Premier League clash for this season against Watford.
Carrick is set for a sunny send-off when he calls time on his illustrious playing career after Sunday’s Old Trafford clash with Javi Gracia’s men.

Mourinho, however, said he want to use their final EPL game against Watford to honour the 36-year-old.

“He is going to start the match as a captain,” Mourinho told a press conference on Friday.

“He is not going to end the match because I want him to leave that pitch alone and I want him to feel what the Manchester United supporters feel in relation to him.

“I am not so sad as I normally am when my players end their career because he is going to be with us.

“He is going to be even closer to me than he was as a player so it is just an emotional moment because it is the end of of a career of a fantastic player.

“So he starts the match and we make the change in some moment so he can leave the pitch alone.”
