Europa League: Arsenal fans attack Cech, tells him to retire over errors in 2-2 draw with CSKA
Arsenal fans have told veteran goalkeeper, Petr Cech to retire and go home after he allowed two cheap goals during the Europa League quarter final against CSKA Moscow on Thursday night.
The Gunners went to Russia with a comfortable 4-1 advantage from the first-leg. But they found themselves under immense pressure after the hosts scored two goals.
Fedor Chalov opened the scoring late in the first half and then Kirill Nababkin scored early in the second period.
Both goals came from rebounds after saves from the former Chelsea goalkeeper.
The first was a good stop from the Arsenal goalkeeper, but his save went straight into the path of Chalov who tucked in from a close range.
The errors from Cech arenât the first the 35-year-old has made this season and the latest had many Arsenal fans calling on him to retire.
