Real Madrid president Florentino approaches Mourinho, keen on Pochettino
Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has made contact with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho.
With Real stumbling in the LaLiga, pressure is mounting on coach Zinedine Zidane.
While the Frenchman retains Perez’s support, Diario Gol says he has begun testing the ground for potential successors.
He has asked Mourinho about returning to Real, though the response was negative. Mourinho isn’t interested in leaving United for a second stint in charge of Real.
Others interesting Perez at this stage in the process are Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino and Germany coach Joachim Low.
Perez will get another close look at Pochettino’s management tomorrow when Real go to Wembley for their Champions League clash with Spurs. It’s suggested the Argentine now features highly on the president’s shortlist.
