New Orleans based duo $uicideboy$, made up of members Ruby Da Cherry and $lick$ $loth (along with their myriad alternate aliases), are ready to unleash a barrage of new music on September 11th. Next week, the duo will be dropping five EPs, expanding the macabre and rugged narrative of The Kill Youself Saga. And don’t get it twisted – despite rocking a name that might suggest otherwise, $uicideboy$ are anything but “emo.” In fact, their dark, minimalist production and flows have earned the group comparisons to the legendary Bone Thugs-N-Harmony’s earlier work.

Their latest track, “For The Last Time,” finds the boys going in over an eerie soundscape, driven by a distant saxophone wail and a haunting piano loop. The low key banger is filled with violent, horrorcore imagery, with demons, Sleepy Hollow, and casual acts of mass murder. $loth, rapping under the alias Lil Choppa, delivers an impressive flow switch, breaking up an earlier scheme to spit “Suicide when I ride bitch, Scarecrow the walking shadow, Mozart with no piano, kill when I’m sleepy Hollow, that mystic motherfucker that’s addicted to prescriptions, Xanax for the panic, mental problems you can add in.”
