FIFA reject Leicester move for Sporting CP midfielder Adrien Silva
FIFA has rejected Leicester City ‘s deadline day move for Sporting Lisbon midfielder Adrien Silva, according to the latest reports.
The Foxes signed Silva as the replacement for Danny Drinkwater in the late hours of deadline day, but they were not able to complete the deal on time.
The Foxes claimed on Friday that the transfer is awaiting clearance from FIFA, however, according to Portuguese publication A Bola, the transfer has been rejected by FIFA.
Leicester did manage to complete a loan deal for centre-back Aleksandar Dragovic from Bayer Leverkusen on the deadline day.
