Cardi B Has Emerged And Is Now No 1 On Billboard (Second Female)
Cardi B hit a record by becoming the second female rapper to hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 without featuring any other artist, the first time since Lauryn Hill 19 years ago.
Her debut single “Bodak Yellow” had been trending for months.
Lauryn Hill in 1988 was the last female rapper to top the Billboard Hot 100 without any feature appearances.
“Rockstar” by Post Malone featuring 21 Savage made its debut at No. 2 while Taylor Swift‘s “Look What You Made Me Do” slipped from its spot as number one to the third spot.
