Matic ‘Shirt Number Revealed’

Nemanja Matic appears set to take the No.31 shirt at Manchester United.

The Chelsea midfielder has completed a medical at United’s Carrington training ground ahead of his £50million move to Old Trafford.

While fans wait for an initial announcement, a picture of Matic has circulated on social media, appearing to be wearing United training gear, report the Manchester Evening News.

It is believed the image is legitimate and Matic donned the number 31 for his medical. Training kit numbers are usually the players’ squad numbers and Matic could be about to inherit Bastian Schweinsteiger’s old number.

“I’m waiting for news. I know that he wants the move very, very much,” Mourinho said over the weekend. “I think we have a chance but in football until things are official you never know.

“No.31 is a free jersey, I don’t know if he was there as I haven’t been there today.”
