Nobody in My Family Has Ever Lived Up to 70 Years- Atiku Abubakar

​A former Vice President of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar has opened up on a shocking trend in his family which has continued for several years.

Atiku Abubakar, has revealed that no member of his family, has ever reached the age of 70. The ex vice president made the revelation while speaking at an event to mark his 70th birthday on Thursday, by students of American University of Nigeria Academy and Primary schools.

He said,

“It is a milestone in my life because nobody in my family has ever lived up to 70 years.”

Atiku thanked the students for “the surprise of a birthday bash” and reiterated his commitment to continue to support education in the country.

He also called on the Academic Staff Union of Universities to suspend the ongoing warning strike, stressing that education was the backbone of development.
