A shocking ritual nearly ended in the death of a newborn baby after a church in Kenyan performed bizarre ritual in public.

According to Tuko , the ritual involved a Kenyan church dedicating to a higher-power, a new-born child deep in the grottoes of Mukuru kwa Reuben slum.

The church identified as the Church of Isreal took matters to a most extraordinary height after the shocking and horrendous religious ritual.

In one of the dances, the child is tossed rather dangerously in the air and caught mid-air with the ceremonial blue cloth. All the while, spectators are watching the ritual unfold from the verandas of their shacks.

Tuko reports that the church of Israel whose tradition greatly resembles the Wakorino’s of Kenya is largely characterised by colorful robes, fast-paced music, rhythmic drums and the fact that the congregation dances itself into a stupor.

It was gathered that the ceremony was performed to ward off any evil spirit that was working against the infant and its mother.
