Buhari’s Government VS Jonathan’s Government

Published

Honestly, with the way things are going in this country presently, people have been asking, between Jonathan’s and Buhari’s Government, which is better.

Jonathan VS Buhari

So therefore, we at edujandon.com have decided to make write ups on some of the differences so that you could have a good platform to argue on.

Ex-President Jonathan

Ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan of the People’s Democratic Party  (PDP) lost to the present President Muhammadu Buhari of All Progressives Congress (APC) (GCFR) in the last Presidential election.

Boko Haram Terrorists

People didn’t like the Jonathan led administration really because, he was too quite to give orders especially on the case of the “Boko Haram” terrorists. During the case of the Chibok Girls, nothing was done till date. Before then, Buhari made a statement to Jonathan during the Jonathan led administration saying:
“I would make your government ungovernable”

Jonathan had basically some sicknesses like his wife, and most of the people around him. Jonathan was never seen as an evil man but as a man that could not act to prevailing situations. Jonathan had evil people around him like Dasuki, Allison Maduekwe and others. These are people whom were caught after they had stolen a lot of money from the oil sector.

Jonathan was later seen as evil when it was aid that he bribed pastors with huge amount of money. Jonathan’s Government was indeed ungovernable. I can remember vividly when he had quarrels and disregarded Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

Nevertheless he had a lot of good like the price of fuel. The price of fuel in his time was at the highest rate of 85 Naira per litre. The rate of dollar then was about 165 Naira to one dollar.

Jonathan was a man who really cared about the well being of his citizens and and that is why he actually invested a lot of money into the agricultural sector.

The masses and citizens

Then tomatoes was not a problem as wee as rice.

Jonathan’s government was based on 50/50 and they cared about the masses.

President Muhammadu Buhari got in to power after winning Jonathan with the impression of “Change”

President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Osinbanjo Yemi

He was really saying that he was after change and nothing more or less. He said he would bring about positive change and that all those leaders whom have been looting the country’s money would pay for it. He was really announcing it like he meant it.

After he got there, the budget for the year 2016 got missing. The budget was really delayed. Over 100 days of his stay in office, nothing proved that he really was after change as he was saying. He said he would bring all those whom stole money to book but honestly he was only arresting those of the PDP whom stole money. As the days went on, we started talking about subsidt and it’s removal. During that period there was fuel scarcity and fuel as sold for about 400 Naira per liter which was very expensive.

Oil Sector

Suddenly the names of ministers where brought out and he was appointed minister of Petroleum while Ibe Kachukwu as minister of state petroleum. After all these ceremonies fuel subsidy was ruled out and fuel went for 150 naira per liter till date. The NIGER Delta boys formed a squad and started bursting oil pipes.
The rate of dollar went up to 200 naira and is presently over 400 Naira for a dollar.

Under this same government, Nigeria was described as fantastically corrupt by UK Prime Minister David Cameron. Suddenly news carried it that the president is dead and has gone for check up. Under this government so many things have happened that cannot really be over emphasized here.

I know that this little piece of information would guide you on your agreement. Once again which government is better?
