According to an authoritative report by TheCable News , a former Golden Eaglets and Flying Eagles player, Peter Ogaba, has died on Friday after a brief illness.

One of the deceased’s close friends confirmed the news and said; “Peter Ogaba was found dead in his room this morning.

“He has been sick for a while. His door had to be broken down to gain entrance into his room. It is indeed sad that we have lost another great footballer in Nigeria,” he said.

Ogaba was the youngest player at the U17 and U20 World Cups in Canada (1987), and Saudi Arabia (1989).

The remains of the former footballer who was also the coach of Lobi Stars, between 2006 and 2009, have been deposited at the Asokoro General Hospital in Abuja.
