The Nigeria U17 starlet left Lagos on Monday night to put pen to paper with the Bundesliga club side after turning down overtures from a few European giants
Victor Osimhen has left Nigeria for Germany ahead of completing his transfer to Wolfsburg, Goal can exclusively reveal.
After the post is a picture of the 17-year-old striker at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport with his father and three sisters before he departed for Europe.
The youngster and his father departed for Germany via a Lufthansa flight on Monday night.
He is expected to put pen to paper this week after his lawyers back home must have studied the contract carefully.
Osimhen has spoken highly of the Bundesliga club side and how the programme that the coaches have for him swung his decision ahead of a few other suitors.
The lanky striker scored 10 goals to set a new Fifa U17 World Cup record in Chile last year and has since become the toast of many European club sides including reported interest from Arsenal.
However, Osimhen has opted for Wolfsburg where he expects to develop into a world class senior striker.
