Crisis Looms In APC Over Automatic Ticket
There are reports that crisis might be looming in the All Progressive Congress following the party’s leadership decision to give automatic tickets to incumbent governors to contest the 2015 elections.
ThisDay reports that the disclosure was made on Tuesday by a governorship aspirant of the party in Yobe State, Mr. Mustapha Maihaja.
Maihaja revealed that while he has been battling to submit his expression of interest and nomination forms to the party secretariats in Abuja and Damaturu, claimed that Mr. Mai Mala Buni, the National Secretary to him that it was the policy of the party that nobody should contest against all the incumbent governors.
The governorship aspirant, who cried out over the refusal of the state chapter of the party to accept his nomination form, said it would amount to injustice for the party to toe the step.
Speaking also, Aliyu Abubakar Sanyinna, another governorship aspirant in Sokoto State, also cried out on move to frustrate his submission of nomination form.
Sanyinna, who was a former Commissioner for Information in Sokoto and state Attorney General, further revealed that he came to the national secretariat in Abuja to submit his form as scheduled by the party guidelines only to be redirected to go back to the state.
