19-Year-Old Boy Kills Own Father Over N10 Worth Of Cigarette

The Edo state police has arrested a 19- year-old boy, Bestman Momodu for allegedly hacking his father, Zubeiru Momodu to death over N10 worth of cigarette.
The incident occurred on August 16 at Ubiane, Aviele in Estako West local government area of the state.
The 19-year-old boy, Bestman was said to have smoked the cigarette belonging to his father which resulted into an argument after the father found out his cigarette was missing.
According to the Nation, in the heat of the fight, the suspect was said to have brought out a cutlass which he used to cut his father three times, killing him instantly.
The suspect, while speaking told journalists on his reason for his action said: “You know it was the kind of life we used to live. It was a mistake,” he said.
Bestman was among the 68 suspects paraded by the Edo State Police Command on Monday.
It would be recalled in July 2014, a 21-year-old student, Tolani Ajayi of the Redeemers University was arrested by the Ogun state police for slaughtering his 60-year-old father, Mr. Charles Ajayi, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria on July 3 and putting his body in abox and dumping it in a box
