Students of Enugu State University of Science and Technology,Threaten to go on Protest Over 15k Late payment penalty

The students of Enugu State University of Science and Technology(ESUT), have warn that if the university fails to remove the N15,000 penalty for late payment of school fees, that they will stage a protest.
It could be recalled that the university said that if any student fails to pay his school fee which is over N124,000,before 28th of April which is last month,he/she will pay a late payment penalty of penalty fee of N15,000.
One of the students who spoke to Edujandon.com said that
“how can some one who managed to get N124,000,be able to pay an extra 15,000 after paying that. What do they think made the person to pay late? It simply because there was no money,and now they manage to pay 124,000 you are saying they should pay 15k penalty for late payment! It very very unfair !”
All attempt to contact the Vice Chancellor proved abortive as he turned down speaking with us.
For me I personally think this is the most heartless decision I have ever heard,taken by a state owned school.
