Osaze run down his formal club west brown

Osaze Odemwingie had the last laugh after being
booed by the travelling West Brom supporters in
CardiffCity’s 1-0 win over his former employers.
After a winless streak of five matches for Cardiff
City, Peter Whittingham headed home the winner in
the 65th minute to condemn West Brom to a fourth
consecutive defeat and end Steve Clarke’s tenure as
manager at the Hawthorns.
Odemwingie came close to scoring as his free-kick
forced a fine save from Boaz Myhill inside the
opening 10 minutes.
The 32-year-old was lively on the night and also had a
valid penalty appeal turned down by Howard Webb,
after a West Brom player appeared to pull his shirt
when he was about to take a decisive final touch inside
the box.
The Nigeria international was taken off for Bo-Kyung
Kim in the 90th minute, with the game already won.
The win lifted CardiffCity up to 14th place on the
English Premier League table with 17 points from 16
games, while West Brom slumped to 16th place with
14 points from the same number of games.
