Nigerian “runs girl” Olivia Ijeoma Chukwuemeka has bravely come forward to share her harrowing experience after being rescued by operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) from the clutches of a suspected ritualist, armed robber, Joseph Efe.

This chilling incident unfolded when 30-year-old Efe, whose roots trace back to Edo and Ondo states, was apprehended on Wednesday at the Top View Hotel in Wuse, Zone 5, Abuja, while attempting to flee the scene.

The FCT Commandant of the Corps said Efe was caught red-handed as he exited the hotel, allegedly to rendezvous with an accomplice, all the while leaving Olivia tied up and vulnerable in the hotel room.

Narrating her ordeal to newsmen, gathered by the PUNCH, Olivia recounted the terrifying details of her ordeal, revealing that she had connected with Efe through a hookup site known as the “coded site.” She described how they met and how it quickly spiraled into a nightmare.

She said;

“I met the suspect some months ago. I live in Enugu but visit Abuja for other business reasons

“When I got to the hotel, the suspect asked me if I was afraid of d£ath.

“He said if I cooperate with him, he will not hurt me like other girls. He said his friend was outside and if I made any wrong move, he injected me with something.

“I pleaded with him, he sl@pped me and asked me to str!p my clothes. I tried to get to the door but it was locked by him and he held the keys,”

According to her, Joseph’s sinister intentions became clear when he first used her dress to bind her hands and resorted to using cellophane tape to ensure she couldn’t escape.

Olivia recalled how, after managing to unlock her phone, Efe discovered she had no money in her account, shattering his expectations and intensifying the sense of danger surrounding her.

“He turned the television volume very high and blocked my mouth with a handkerchief.

“He warned me not to make any noise and left the room.

“I later noticed movement outside the door and saw the colour of the uniform the person was wearing and was relieved that it was the hotel staff.

“I struggled and dragged myself to the window and banged it hard. Luckily, the guy heard me and I made a sign pointing in the direction the suspect went,” She added
