Nasarawa Police Five Suspected R*pists For Defiling Six Minors Aged 4 – 14

Five suspected r*pists have been arrested by the Nasarawa State Police Command over the alleged defilement of six minors aged between 4 and 14.



The State Commissioner of Police, CP Shehu Nadada stated this when he paraded the alleged r*pists and 28 other suspects at the Police Headquarters in Lafia, the state capital on Thursday, May 9, 2024.

“On 19-03-2024 at about 1600hrs, a complaint lodged at Garaku Division that a 5 year old child was playing with her peers in the neighbourhood, but one Adamu Ishaku ‘M’ of Mararaba Kokona village lured her into his room and defiled her,” the CP stated.

“Responding to the distressing occurrence, the police immediately swung into action and got the suspect arrested”Also, on 18/03/2024 at about 1730hrs, operatives attached to Mararaba ‘B’ Division, Abacha road, arrested one Saviour Kingdom ‘M’ of Kabayi, for defiling a 4-year-old child

“Similarly, on 20/04/2024 at about 2230hrs, one Ibrahim Dahiru ‘M’ of Kawo village, Doma LGA was arrested for having unlawful carnal knowledge of a 7-year-old child

“Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspect called the victim under the pretext of sending her on an errand, but ended up taking her into his room where he had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.”

Speaking further, CP Nadada said police operatives arrested a suspect who allegedly defiled two minors, aged 13 and 14.

“Recently, police operatives attached to Mararaba

‘A’ Division arrested one Victor Jonathan AKA Korea, for defiling two girls between the ages of 13 -14 years. Preliminary investigation revealed that the girls were sent on an errand. While on their way back, the suspect conspired with his friend and forcefully took the girls to an uncompleted building at Agwan Gwari, Kabayi area of Karu LGA where he had carnal knowledge of them.”Also, police operatives arrested one Stephen Arigu Namo ‘M’ of Tudun Wada, Mararaba following a complaint that the suspect visited the house of one Sale Magaji at Aku village, Base one Mararaba under the guise of delivering his 17-year-old daughter from a spiritual problem but ended up having unlawful carnal knowledge of her,” he added.
