“There’s nothing we can do” – Bobrisky’s Lawyer shares update on his case (video)
The news of Bobrisky’s arrest and arraignment to court hit the internet like a tsunami, and a lot of netizens have been eager to get an update on the matter.
In an interview with TVC News, Bobrisky’s Lawyer explained that there was nothing they could do about the adjournment of the judgement till April 19th. He also stated that they had cited the relevant laws pertaining to the fact that Bobrisky was a first time offender, and as such, should not be punished heavily.
Bobrisky’s Lawyer stated that the requisite fine for first time offenders for money mutilation is #50,000 Naira or a six month jail term. He said that the EFCC had accepted Bobrisky’s request to pay the fine.
During the trial, Bobrisky apologized to the court and claimed that he would change, and he wasn’t aware of the fact that spraying money was a cream.
The fact that EFCC has accepted to Bobrisky’s term on the payment of the fine hasn’t still done anything for his release, as he is still in their custody.
So far, Bobrisky has spent over twenty-four hours in the hands of the EFCC, over money mutilation, and videos even surfaced online of him spray money at a party.
Celebrities like Eniola Ojo and Simi Gold have both reached out to him and sent their love and support, with Eniola feeling guilty about what happened with the Bobrisky because she felt like it was her movie premiere that caused it.
