“Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest” – AGN president Emeka Rollas
The Actor Guild of Nigeria (AGN) president, Emeka Rollas has revealed that Nollywood movie star, John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu, died after suffering cardiac arrest.
The sudden passing of Mr Ibu, which was announced on March 2, has left fans and colleagues in shock.
Mr Ibu, who reportedly died at the Evercare Hospital in Lagos, suffered a medical condition which caused his legs amputated.
However, Emeka took to her Instagram page to announced with deep grief that Mr Ibu didn’t make it after he had suffered a heart attack.
He wrote,
“Sad Day for Actors Guild of Nigeria.Kate Henshaw lost her mother earlier today and Mr Ibu suffered cardiac arrest according to his manager for 24 years Mr Don Single Nwuzor. I announce with deep sense of grief that Mr Ibu didnt make it. May his soul rest in peace.”
