The British-Nigerian boxer Anthony Oluwafemi Olaseni Joshua OBE knocked out Francis Ngannou in the second round of their fight on Friday’s night.

Anthony Joshua has secured his fourth consecutive victory with a second-round knockout against Francis Ngannou, the Cameroonian boxer, in the main event of the “Knockout Chaos” card in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

In 2023, Anthony Joshua won three consecutive victories. He defeated Jermaine Franklin in April, followed by a seventh-round knockout triumph over Robert Helenius in August.

In December, he secured another win by cruising to a fifth-round technical knockout victory over Otto Wallin, who was expected to be a formidable opponent, especially with his southpaw stance.

Joshua has now scored knockout victories over fighters who went the distance with Tyson Fury, including Wallin and Ngannou.

Ngannou stunned fans when he knocked Fury down in their fight last year, and fans believed he could repeat the feat against Joshua.

Joshua, on the other hand, silenced the doubters by outboxing Ngannou throughout the two rounds and making the statement he promised with a knockout win in just five minutes of the fight.

After being knocked out, the Cameroonian-born boxer required medical attention and received oxygen in the ring’s corner before standing up again.

In the post-match press conference, Joshua expressed his willingness to face the winner of Fury vs. Usyk for a shot at the world heavyweight title.
