“Village people” – Moment footballer is struck by lightning and killed during a match (Watch)

While playing football in Indonesia, a football player was struck by lightning, which resulted in his death.

Terrifying footage showed the horrifying moment the 35-year-old male Subang victim fell in Bandung, West Java’s Siliwangi Stadium on Saturday afternoon, February 10.

Around 4:20 p.m. local time, Septain Raharja, a football player, was struck by lightning when he was participating in a friendly game between FBI Subang and 2 FLO FC Bandung.

He was taken to a nearby hospital while still alive, according to PRFM News, the local media. However, he passed away from severe burns.

Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) conducted an examination of the hit and found that the lightning struck a cloud that was only 300 metres above the stadium.
