“I no be Iwobi I go insult person papa” — Super Eagles player, Sadiq Umar warns critics

Nigerian footballer Sadiq Umar responds to fans who heavily criticized him via DMs, despite his lack of involvement in the AFCON finals.

He started playing at the beginning of the AFCON tournament but had to be benched owing to a Meniscus injury sustained during a friendly match with Guinea.

This led to him leaving the AFCON and returning to his home club where another diagnosis revealed it was just a minor swell.

However, after Nigeria’s loss to Ivory Coast in the finals, many fans have taken to calling out majority of the players, with Iwobi taking the major hit.

It seems they also sent Sadiq Umar some provocative messages, to which he responded via his Instagram story.

He wrote;

“I no even play you con dey insult me
Abeg oo
Me I no be iwobi I go Insult person papa with him mama join
Yes I be dat typical Hausa boy Abi u see fear for my eyes
Pushing someone into depression & mental breakdown.
Yet you want life to be better for you, e no fit ever better for una!
Vagabonds! !!!”
