“I don’t care what people say anymore” — Nigerian gay man rejoice as his mother finally accepts his sexuality
UK based Nigerian gay man celebrates passionately as his mother accepts his sexuality after 6 long years.
The young man shared his happiness with his online followers to his X account, @danyomii, in a tweet. He narrated how he used to battle and pray over thoughts of homosexuality while he was a youth pastor in Nigeria.
On moving to the UK, he discovered himself and fully leaned into his sexuality. However his mother was not comfortable with it and kept begging him to change and settle down with a woman.
He respectfully refused and cultivated a budding relationship with another young man in the UK. After so much back and forth between them, his mother finally accepted him and called him her son regardless of his sexual orientation.
