‘I became sexually inactive after prostate surgery’ – Veteran actor Kola Oyewo
A seasoned actor in Nollywood, Kola Oyewo has said that his fight with prostate surgery led to his sexual inactivity.
The 77-year-old actor made this revelation while explaining how he managed to overcome the illness.
Actor Kunle Afod and seasoned actor Peter Fatomilola visited Oyewo at home to see how he was doing, as seen in a video that is currently viral online.
Speaking to his guests in Yoruba, Oyewo revealed that, before receiving a prostate enlargement diagnosis, he had first had trouble passing pee in July 2019.
Oyewo revealed that he had to give up his ability to have sex during one of the procedures performed to save his life.
Interacting with his visitors, he said
“I had an enlarged prostate but I feel better now. In 2019, I first noticed that I would easily pee on myself or find it difficult to urinate.
“I went to the hospital and I was told that my prostate is getting larger and I will undergo surgery. They made an incision on my stomach and inserted what would help me pass out urine to prevent me from dying immediately.
“Also, I was advised to undergo another surgery that will stop my sexual performance. I told them to go ahead because I no longer needed it as my children were grownups with their kids.”
