“2023 was a great year” – Singer Davido reacts after Wizkid expresses difficulty in the year 2023

While Grammy Award winner Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid expresses difficulty in the year 2023, his colleague Davido describes the year 2023 as a great year.

People all over the world are in the compliments of the season mood, describing how the year 2023 looks for them and what they wished for in the year 2024.

Taking to the insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page today, December 31st, 2023, Wizkid opens up about life’s difficulty making it known to all and sundry that the year 2023 was tough for him.

The “Essence” hitmaker is now looking forward to a better 2024, hoping it will be good for him.

Wizkid wrote; “2023 you show me shege, 24 be good to me.”

This reaction from Wizkid may be related to the passing of his mother, Dolapo Balogun, who sadly passed away in London on August 18, 2023.

However, Davido via his verified page on X formerly called Twitter gives thanks to God for the year 2023 as he asserted that the year 2023 has been a great one.

Davido who lost his son Ifeanyi in October 2022, took a social media break and by extension returns to social media in March 2023 with an album dubbed Timeless.

Timeless turns out to be a successful album for Davido as the songs in it that include, Unavailable, Feel, No Competition, among others garnered millions of streams on music streaming platforms.

Davido following the success of the album bags 3 Grammy nominations and among other awards.

Davido in the year 2023 also welcomes a twins with his wife, Chioma Avril Rowland in Atlanta USA.

Describing the year 2023, Davido wrote;

“2023 Was a great year ! Thank you God ! For restoring happiness n Success in my life !! 2024 IM READY !! .”
