Nigerian Army rescue another four kidnapped university students in Zamfara
The Nigerian military troops have on Saturday rescued four students of the Federal University Gusau (FUGUS) who were abducted by the ravaging terrorists in Zamfara State.
Recall that the students were kidnapped in their off-campus residence at Sabon Gida Damba district of Gusau Local Government Area of the state.
Force Information Officer for Operation Hadarin Daji, Captain Yahaya Ibrahim told newsmen in Gusau that the troops responded to distress calls and immediately blocked all major exit routes of the bandits and engaged the terrorists, resulting in the rescue of four students of the institution.
“The troops formed blocking positions at possible withdrawal routes which led to heavy operation fire for fire with the terrorists.”
“The gravity of the gun duel forced the unrepentant bandits to abandon the victims and flee. During the encounter with the terrorists, two of the students escaped while the two others a male and a female, were safely rescued by the military operatives.”
