Bible Verse That Scares Most Christians And Why They Avoid Reading It

Published

on

One of the best things a person can do is to read the Bible, but sometimes Christians fail to do so even when they have set aside time for God.

Christians have always been worried and horrified by this Bible text because of their fear of finding the truth about what would happen to people who have gone away from godly practices. Check out the verses in 2 Timothy 3:1-4.

But remember, terrible things will happen in the closing days. Since people will be “lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappealing, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, treacherous, reckless, puffed up with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,” the world is headed for trouble.

The current state of our civilization is made very evident upon reading this text. Money, vanity, and vice have all become objects of affection for many.

At the time of Christ’s return, the vast majority of Christians will be engaged in evil acts, therefore pleading with them to repent is futile unless they desire to burn in hell for all of eternity.
