“I experienced poverty for the first time when I married my ex-husband” – Iyabo Ojo says (Watch Video)
Seasoned Nigerian actress, Iyabo Ojo has said that she never knew what it felt like to be poor until she settled down with her now ex-husband, Lanre Gentry.
The 45-year-old thespian made this known when she appeared as a guest on Toke Makinwa’s podcast, Toke Moments, where she also revealed that she came from a well-to-do family.
Iyabo noted that the very first time she experienced low income lifestyle was when she got married to her now ex-husband because prior to that, she never knew people experienced power outage and that there are those who share apartments.
She recalled growing up affluence and having an industrial generator at her family’s residence in Obanikoro, that comes on immediately the electricity distribution company cuts power supply.
The actress stated that her granny was one of the richest people in Lagos when she was growing up. She went on to say that people should not blame the rich when they do not understand the problems of the less privileged.

phranknigel; I honestly use to tell people i didn’t know the meaning of hunger until i left my parents house, when salary use to finish 2nd week😂 but i thank God for the lessons.
