The Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) has confirmed the death of Private Roger Bayou, a soldier from the 5 Infantry Battalion, due to suspected accidental discharge.

Bayou was found dead at the Base Ammunition Depot (BAD) near Michel Camp in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality of Greater Accra as he prepared to take over from a colleague who had completed his shift.
