Lionel Messi ties game with second goal, as Inter Miami advance after penalty shootout with FC Dallas
Messi Mania is hitting the road, and Lionel Messi is shining bright once again..
FC Dallas and Inter Miami CF are tied 4-4 in the final minutes of their Sunday night Round of 16 knockout match during the Leagues Cup.
Messi opened the game with a goal in the sixth minute, his fastest goal in four games with Inter Miami. And he nailed the equalizer to tie it at 4 late in the match.
FC Dallas took the lead with two goals in an eight-minute span just before halftime. And they added two more in the second half
Messi entered Sunday night after having scored five goals, and assisted another in his first three games with Inter Miami.
As if this match could be more compelling, it was to be decided by penalty kicks.
There’s no overtime in Leagues Cup play.
After a 4-4 tie, both sides will decide it with a shootout.
Inter Miami won the shootout and advanced into the round 8 of the league cup
