“I borrowed N50K to stop my girlfriend from going on date with another man” – Singer, Boy Spyce recalls the foolish thing he did for love

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Ugbekile David Osemeke, popularly known as Boy Spyce, has revealed the weirdest thing he has ever done for love.

Tontrends reports that the singer,who is signed under Don Jazzy‘s record label, Mavins, in a recent interview with Cool FM Nigeria, hosted by reality star, Tacha, said he once borrowed money to prevent his girlfriend from going on a date with another man.

According to Boy Spyce, the act might seem basic, but it is something he would never do again, emphasizing he would not inconvenience himself to impress another person.

He said;

“The farthest I have ever gone for love is borrowing money. It sounds very basic but it’s actually something I would never do anymore. If I no get, I no get. I no go kill myself to impress anybody.

“This was years back. I think it was about N50,000. And at that time, it was a lot of money for me. She [my then girlfriend] was like she wanted to go and have fun and eat somewhere.

“I think a guy wanted to take her out and I was like, ‘Why will you go out with a guy when you are with me?’ And she was like she has been wanting to go the place. She likes it. So, I have to go and like borrow money”
