Supreme Court Justice, Chima Centus Nweze is dead
Chima Centus Nweze, a Judge at the Supreme Court has passed on.
Nweze, who was the fifth most senior justice of the supreme court died on Sunday evening, July 30, at the age of 64. He was ill earlier but was discharged from the hospital some days ago.
Following his death, the number of supreme court justices has reduced to 12.
Nweze was born on September 25, 1958, and bagged all his degrees (bachelors to Ph.D) from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN). He was called to the bar in 1984 and completed his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme in Bauchi in 1985.
He became a judge of Enugu state high court in 1995. On February 15, 2008, he was elevated to the court of appeal and served until October 2014, when he was elevated to the supreme court of Nigeria on October 29, 2014.
