In the early hours of today, former niger-delta militant, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo went live on Facebook to speak more about his origin.

Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “I have never denied being an Igbo man. You can watch the interviews I had over ten years ago on channels television and NTA to confirm that I have always said I have Igbo blood flowing in my vein. My Igbo name, which I inherited from my father, is Uzodinma. I even went to Ohafia to marry an Igbo woman and also named by son Uzodinma too.”

Speaking further, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “as igbos, we need to ask ourselves why people are gravitating towards Yoruba lands instead of Igbo lands. We need to work on ourselves and not stop living in self denial.”

Lastly, Alhaji Asari Mujahid Dokubo said, “in the past, I had a forty percent Igbo blood flowing in my vein but now, it has increased to 75 percent.”
