Reverend Lefoko Mogotsi, an experienced clergy man with over 9 years in the priesthood, announced his resignation through a heartfelt video on TikTok.


In the emotional video posted on his account, the reverend explained that he had made the difficult decision to let go of his calling in order to prioritize his mental health.

Reverend Mogotsi revealed that he had been grappling with depression and anxiety for a number of years, and the pressures associated with his role as a priest had taken a significant toll on his well-being.

The video resonated deeply with viewers as he openly discussed the challenges he faced, emphasizing the need to prioritize his own well-being and take a break from the demanding nature of his work.

He wrote;

“After 9 years of being a priest, I am making the hardest decision of my life. I’ve decided to let go of my calling for the sake of my mental health. I am walking away. Judge me all you want.”
