Footballers and management staff of OPM FC on Friday, June 24 staged a protest at Agip Roundabout in Port Harcourt, Rivers state.

The Football Club owned by the founder of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere was demonstrating over alleged defamation of the clergyman.

In recent days, Apostle Chibuzor had been called out by beneficiaries of his scholarship programme and housing scheme for the less privileged.

It first started with Happie Boys, a set of two former security guards who he sent to study in Cyprus, claiming that the OPM pastor abandoned them.

There was serious scandal that emanated from their claim as they further alleged that they know where he gets his powers from. Happie Boys later apologised and he forgave them.

However, when the dust from that matter was yet to settle, the family of late Deborah Samuel whom the cleric relocated to Port Harcourt, cried out about suffering.

They accused the pastor of living them to wallow in hunger and poverty months after they moved to their current apartment.

Angered by the allegations, OPM FC stormed the streets of protest holding placards and standing in solidarity with Apostle Chibuzor.
