Ogun police cause ghastly accident while chasing car being driven by mechanic whom they mistook for yahoo boy
It was a sad Wednesday in Ogun state as a mechanic who police officers reportedly mistook to be a yahoo boy, got involved in an auto crash in Igbeba.
Policemen on patrol in their van saw him driving a customer’s car and believed he was a fraudster, so they engaged him in a hot pursuit.
As the car chase intensified, the police van gained mileage and rammed into the vehicle, leading to a ghastly accident.
A video which surfaced online shows the damage done to the cars and residents were raising insults on the police officers who eventually abandoned the van.
One of the security personnel could be seen fleeing the scen of the accident as people made attempts to see what could be salvaged from the car.
