“Buhari failed to secure Nigeria after wasting money on security” – Shehu Sani says

Former Nigerian senator, Senator Shehu Sani has slammed President Muhammadu Buhari for failing to secure the lives of Nigerians.


He tackled the APC-led government in a post on Twitter and accused the administration of wasting more money on security which did not yield positive results.

Sani, a who represented Kaduna Central in the Senate, claimed that about $20 billion was budgeted for Defence in the eight years of the current administration.

The political analyst further lamented that over 63,000 people who were killed in eight years despite the huge budget deployed to the defence sector.

He said; “About twenty billion dollars was budgeted for Defence in the eight years of this administration and over 63 thousand people were killed in the same period, going by the financial figures from Macrotrends and casualty figures from Council on Foreign relations. The Buhari regime wasted more money and failed to secure the lives of Nigerians.”

In other news, the All Progressives Congress (APC), Canada Chapter said President Muhammadu Buhari has performed well in his nearly 8 years in office.

The Secretary, Diaspora Directorate of APC 2023 Presidential Campaign Council PCC, Hon. Ifeoma Nwankwo, made the assertion after the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s interactive session at Chatham House in London.

She said Buhari made laudable achievements which will be consolidated by the APC presidential flagbearer if he is elected in 2023.

According to Hon Nwankwo, the president has done his best for Nigeria and it is now time for Tinubu to take over the mantle of leadership.

She explained; “Government is continuum. Our amiable President, Muhammadu Buhari has made laudable achievements and has done his best for Nigeria.

“We believe that the incoming President, Tinubu will consolidate and also implement his positive agenda for the growth and development of the country”.
