A visibly frustrated Cristiano Ronaldo was spotted shouting at his own bench before half-time after Al Nassr conceded in the first half against Al Wehda.

Al Nassr suffered a 1-0 semi-final defeat to Al Wehda at the KSU Stadium in the King Cup tournament on Monday.

Jean-David Beauguel opened the scoring for Al Wehda in the first half, with the Saudi Pro League side being reduced to 10 men early in the second half.

Despite Abdullah Al-Hafith’s sending off in the 53rd minute, Al Nassr were unable to score a crucial equaliser in the King Cup tie.

Ronaldo came close to pulling Al Nassr level in the 81st minute, only to see his powerful close-range strike smash off the crossbar.

The 38-year-old Portuguese forward appeared furious at half-time and could be seen expressing his dissatisfaction towards his own bench.

One fan said in response to the footage: “Hating every single minute of it, isn’t he?”

Someone else added: “Oh dear, and they lost 11 minutes injury time didn’t help either.”

“Ruining his legacy as a player,” a third Twitter user wrote.

Another tweeted: “He’d genuinely have been better retiring five years ago, real damage to his legacy now.”

While a fifth said: “This is embarrassing.”

And a sixth commented: “Every week he’s fuming about something.”

Ronaldo has scored an impressive 11 times and registered two assists in his 14 appearances for Al Nassr since his arrival in Saudi Arabia.

However, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has seen Al Nassr lose in the Saudi Super Cup and currently trail Al-Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League table.
