Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP), governorship candidate in Kogi State, Dino Melaye has accepted the prayers said for him by a Muslim scholar.

The former senator representing Kogi West shared a video of the cleric in the midst of some children praying for him to win the Kogi governorship election coming up on November 11, 2023.

Melaye, who was excited, took to his Twitter page and answered to the prayers by typing ‘Amen.’

He wrote;

“Waooooo Islamic scholar and children praying that Dino Melaye become Governor of Kogi State. Amen”

Meanwhile, the politician earlier claimed God bankrolled his primary election which is why he won the PDP ticket.

He said that he gave anointing oil to delegates to drink and it led to the “magic” of him winning the primary election.

He stated this while appearing on a Channels TV programme ‘Politics Today’ which aired on Tuesday, April 18.

Melaye said: “Anyway, I’m not a staff of the EFCC or ICPC. I won’t know if there was money, but at my level, if I cannot finance a primary, then there is a problem somewhere.

“God bankrolled me, I bank with the Almighty God. I gave my delegates anointing oil for mobilisation and it did the magic.

“I just told you that I believe in Phil’ 4:19, that God shall supply all my needs according to His riches and glory in Christ Jesus, and I’m telling you that He did it.”
