Manchester United boss, Erik ten Hag has slammed his players while expressing his frustration over their performance in 2-2 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on Wednesday night..

Ten Hag slammed his side’s ‘unacceptable’ and very poor start against Leeds.

The Red Devils had to fight back from two goals down after they were stunned at the start of each half.

Wilfried Gnonto fired the visitors ahead after 55 seconds into the first half and less than three minutes after the half-time break they doubled their lead.

Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho scored one each later in the second half to rescue a point for the home side.

“Very poor [starts to each half] and it’s unacceptable to start any game,” the Dutchman told talkSPORT.

“Especially a derby in the way that we did, you are down and have to fight back.

“We made big mistakes and it has to do with attitude, we are not ready to go into the duels, we lose the duels, the formation was also bad when we lost the ball, we didn’t follow our principles and we were quickly down,” he added.

The Red Devils remain in third position in the Premier League, now two points adrift second-position Manchester City ahead of this weekend fixtures.

Erik ten Hag’s men travel to Elland Road to face Leeds United again in the Premier League this weekend before facing Barcelona in the Europa League in the midweek.
