In related news, Nigerian singer, Ayra Starr recently narrated how she felt when she met Wizkid for the first time.
She said during an interview that Wizzy’s official Disc Jockey, DJ Tunez is the one who linked them together.
The ‘Rush’ hit maker said Tunez is the person who reached out and informed her that Wizkid showed interest in featuring her on a song.
Ayra Starr said she was asked to go to the ‘Fever’ crooner’s studio for a recording session and they made the song, 2 Sugar.
According to the Mavin Princess, she was nervous when she was preparing to visit Wizzy’s studio but when she reached there everything became easy,
She said;
“We were in LA and DJ Tunez, who is Wizkid’s official DJ, sent me a message to pull up to the studio, telling me that Wizkid wants to record with me. I was so nervous before I went to this session but when I got there it was so easy.”
In other Wizkid news, the Joro crooner recently promised that fans will no longer be required to purchase tickets before they can attend his shows in Lagos state.
He stated this during his December 2022 Live in Lagos concert, which he had earlier announced would be his last show in Lagos.
The award-winning singer said his statements are often misquoted, and the recent one about his concert in the city was one of them.
Wizkid noted he will have to start completing his sentences so that it will not be misreported by news outlets and social media users.
According to Big Wiz, when he made the post on his social media page what he meant was that it will be the last time his fans will pay for his show in Nigeria’s commercial capital because it will be free from 2023.
Speaking on stage during a pause of his performance, Starboy said that he felt it was unfair for him to perform all around the world and still return home to ask his people to pay and watch him perform.
