Tinubu misfires again, Refers To Atiku As ‘Former Senate President’ (Video)
Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has gone off the rail again for the umpteenth time since the campaign started on September 29, 2022..
From describing his party as PDAPC, to the famous balablu, and saying Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai turned a rotten situation into a bad one, he has now referred to Atiku as a former Senate President.
At the APC presidential campaign rally today in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, Tinubu tried to mock the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar during his days as former Vice President.
He said: āWhen we made him (Atiku) Senate President, he sold this, he sold that, our assets, our commonwealth, our patrimony, haba.ā
Atiku was a former Vice President and not Senate President as Tinubu erroneously said.
To the shock of APC chieftains who flanked Tinubu at the podium when he made the gaffe, he did not immediately self-correct himself. He, however, continued with the tirade against Atiku.
Tinubu has been making slips in many of his public outings, like when he suggested that Nigeriaās insecurity could be addressed by recruiting 50 million people into the military. Nigeriaās labour force is slightly above 80 million people, and recruiting 50 million into the military alone is out of range.
The APC presidential candidate had once claimed that the Permanent Voters Card expires. He was oblivious of the fact that the word āPermanentā in the phrase implies that the card does not expire.
