Besiktas are ‘considering terminating Dele Alli’s loan deal’ after just nine games

Besiktas are reportedly considering terminating Dele Alli’s loan deal less than five months after he joined the club from Everton..

Alli arrived at Besiktas in late August hoping to resurrect his career after a difficult spell at Goodison Park.

However, he has failed to find his best form in Turkey, and has played just nine games in all competitions for his new club.

As a result, Besiktas are already having doubts about Alli, and are thinking about sending him back to Everton, according to Turkish outlet Sabah.

The report states that Alli has until the end of the month to improve his performances or there is a serious chance that Besiktas will begin talks with Everton about him returning to the Premier League.

Alli’s time in Turkey started brightly when he scored his first goal in just his second match for the club.

That was the first time he had found the net in over a year, and suggested that better times lay ahead.

That was as good as it got, though, as he was hauled off at half time when Besiktas played Umraniyespor in late October, with manager Senol Gunes claiming the former Tottenham star has fallen ‘below expectations’.

Alli was then booed from the pitch by his own fans in his side’s final game before Christmas after he was substituted in the 29th minute during a Turkish Cup game.

He posted on social media afterwards about his love of football and how he had no intention of giving up on the sport.

This did not convince his manager to play him again, though, as he was an unused substitute in Besiktas’s next two matches, and time appears to be running out for Alli to prove his worth in Turkey.
