Tension In Enugu: Many Feared Dead As Hoodlums Enforce Simon Ekpa’s Sit-at-home
No fewer than five persons are reportedly feared dead on Saturday morning following attack by gunmen enforcing Simon Ekpa’s five days sit-at-home order in the South East.
In a viral video going round online, two victims whose identities are yet to be established were seen lying lifeless at the front of Enugu State University Teaching Hospital, Parklane.
It was also learnt that others were shot at the New Market Area, while a police car was also set ablaze within the same location.
Eyewitness narrated that the gunmen, numbering over ten, stormed the area as early as 6 a.m. before shooting into the air to scare people off the street.
They are marching from one part of the State to another without resistance.
The development which has sparked up tension in the state, has forced many residents to be indoors to avoid being attacked.
