The death of DJ/dancer Stephen “tWitch” Boss ultimately became an eye-opener to the public.

tWitch’s wife, Allison, confirmed his tragic passing in a statement to PEOPLE. She remembered the dancer as the best husband and father who also served as an inspiration to his fans..



As she seeks privacy for her and their family, multiple news outlets revealed that tWitch died by suicide at the age of 40. He reportedly inflicted gunshot wounds while staying at a hotel near his Los Angeles home on Tuesday.

While the autopsy to determine his exact cause of death remains underway, the words “RIP tWitch” continues to be on Twitter’s trending list. Fans and his colleagues, as they pay tribute to the late “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” DJ, also use the event to remind everyone to check on people around them.s

The Los Angeles medical examiner’s office released a report (obtained by USA Today) confirming tWitch’s death. It revealed that he died by suicide at the age of 40.

The Los Angeles Police Department and the office of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner have not released a new update regarding his passing, but it was revealed that an autopsy would be done to find out his cause of death.

According to reports, tWitch checked into the Oak Tree Inn in Encino, California – a few minutes away from his Los Angeles home – on Monday. He reportedly arrived with a small bag, and he did not drive himself to the hotel.

The manager already gave a statement to Radar Online, saying that they saw no signs of distress in him when he arrived. tWitch only booked the room for one night but failed to check out at 11 a.m. the next day.

This prompted the staff to send his maid to his room to check on him. At that moment, the “Magic Mike XXL” star was already found dead in the bathroom of his room following an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The hotel’s staff members revealed that they did not hear any gunshot at the time of his death.
