The governor of Benue state, Samuel Ortom has reacted towards the actions of the labour party presidential candidate, Peter Obi who made a visits to some Internally Displaced Persons camps in the state where he pointed that it was a great gesture worth acknowledging, especially on a day like Christmas.

Samuel Ortom of the Peoples Democratic Party who prayed and wished Peter Obi’s ambition in his bid to become the next president of Nigeria noted that on a day like Christmas which families spend time together, the former governor of Anambra decided to express a selfless service and that he will be rewarded by God.

He said Peter Obi who made such a visit is the only one among the other presidential candidates who have been to the state and still went ahead to visit these camps.

Speaking further, he pointed out that it was necessary to give these people in those respective camps hope that they will bring succour and help to them if they eventually become the next president.

In his words…

“There are people who have come here, several presidential candidates, none of them have chosen to visit those IDP’s camps and look at their plight and see how they are doing. For you to have chosen the IDP’s and not just an ordinary day, ok a Christmas day that you should be celebrating with your family, you’re here visiting IDP camps”
