Abuja Train Accident: We Wanted To Save The Woman But Police Officers Chased Us Away – Witness Reveals
A lady who has not been recognized died recently when a train ran over her as she was inside her vehicle in Abuja. When the tragic event took place on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, the story that was published in Punch News said that the victim had been driving her vehicle toward the railway tracks in an effort to cross them.
Photos depicting the extent of the damage caused by the accident have also been published on social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter.
Aboard the other hand, according to a story published by Punch News, a witness named Olisa Ogbechie said that when people sought to assist the victim soon after the accident occurred, police officials on the train drove them away.
Ogbechie made the allegation that the police officers threatened the civilians, including himself, by brandishing their firearms in front of them.
In his own words, he explained what had transpired as follows: “In an effort to rescue the victim by first responders and to cover the tragedy, the officers at the site, on-board the train turned violent.”
I, along with a few other people, was subjected to a severe attack at the hands of the police officers, who punched us and sprayed pepper spray in our eyes, as well as pointing weapons at us as they pursued us away from the site of the incident.
