Cameroon goalkeeper, Andre Onana, has finally broken his silence after being kicked out from his side’s World Cup squad..

Onana insisted that there was ‘no will’ from his coach Rigobert Song to resolve the situation.

The 26-year-old disclosed this in a lengthy statement released on his Instagram account on Tuesday.

Song had fallen out with Onana before Cameroon’s World Cup 3-3 draw with Serbia, which prompted the Inter Milan goalkeeper to fly home and leave Qatar.

Onana, who is Cameroon’s number one, was surprisingly not listed in their squad against Serbia, with Devis Epassy replacing him in the starting XI.

Song opened the door to a potential return afterwards, while Cameroon legend Samuel Eto’o is believed to have acted as a peacemaker, but Onana insisted he was unable to resolve his differences with the manager.

“Yesterday I was not allowed to be on the ground to help Cameroon, as I always do, to achieve the team’s goals,” Onana’s statement partly read.

“I always behaved in a way to lead the team to success in a good manner.

“I have put all my efforts and energy into finding solutions to a situation that a footballer often experiences, but there has been no will on the other side.

“Some moments are difficult to assimilate. However, I always respect and support the decisions of the people in charge of pursuing the success of our team and country.”
